The Onu-Igala Kabba, Oga-Ataa Edee, His Royal Highness Chief Onuche Isaac Idoko, on behalf of the entire Igala community in Kabba-Okun land, has extended warm congratulations to the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, on his conferment with the prestigious traditional title of ‘Ogah-Achadu Oko Attah.’
The distinguished honour was bestowed on the Deputy Governor by his clan head, the Achadu Oko Attah, at his palace in Idah, in a colourful affirmation of ancestral heritage, cultural identity and traditional values.
Chief Onuche described the conferment as a moment of immense pride for the Igala people, stressing that traditional institutions remain custodians of history, communal values and the sacred bonds that connect generations.
Celebrating the occasion, the Onu-Igala Kabba offered the culturally significant salutation, “Dooga!”, to the newly honoured title-holder.
He said the recognition symbolises honour, responsibility and the enduring connection between leadership and the people, while praying that the new traditional distinction would inspire greater service, unity, wisdom and commitment to the development of Kogi State.
The entire Igala community in Kabba-Okun land joins in celebrating this remarkable cultural milestone.
